ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION

In 1973, God burdened a young Dallas Theological Seminary graduate named Larry Moyer to start an evangelistic association to champion the gospel with a commitment to three distinctives:

  • A clear presentation of the gospel.

  • A careful handling of Scripture.

  • A core doctrine of grace.

Armed with a passion for those who don’t know Jesus and a God-given calling, Larry created a simple method of sharing the gospel that anyone could learn. His “Bad News/Good News” method has become a cornerstone of sharing the gospel for thousands.

Evangelism Training

Throughout the 1980’s, EvanTell’s impact from large-scale events grew, but churches who were hungering to be evangelistic in their everyday ministry began asking Larry to capture his passion and message in a way that could be used by anyone. As a result, EvanTell developed the You Can Tell It! and You Can Preach It! Seminars, which promote the three distinctives.

In the 1990’s, the interest in EvanTell’s clear and simple gospel approach continued to gain tremendous momentum as they began certifying instructors. The new model boosted Evantell’s reach exponentially and the ministry quickly experienced worldwide impact.

Expansion

During the early 2000’s, Larry challenged the ministry’s Board of Directors to help him ensure that the ministry would live well beyond him and to continue boldly declaring the gospel according to the core principles God burdened him with in 1973. God has honored that request. Through the generous support of individuals, churches, and foundations who are committed to declaring the gospel through grace-filled methods and resources, the scope and impact of the ministry have exploded.

A New Chapter

Today, Larry has passed the leadership baton to the new president, Blair Foster, who carries a vision of God doing far more than we can ask or imagine and reaching the nations with the gospel.. God is already at work in incredible ways across Africa, Latin America, and Asia, where the impact of the Gospel of Grace is rapidly expanding.

EvanTell will continue to provide in-depth evangelism training through seminars, workbooks, tracts, and other discipleship resources in 25 countries. The organization equips and encourages a fast-growing network of certified evangelism instructors, mentors entire churches, and inspires believers of all ages, backgrounds, and cultures to boldly share the gospel.

The opportunity to join God’s movement around the world is both exciting and life-changing.

Vision

After this I saw a vast crowd, too great to count, from every nation and tribe and people and language, standing in front of the throne and before the Lamb. They were clothed in white robes and held palm branches in their hands. And they were shouting with a great roar, “Salvation comes from our God who sits on the throne and from the Lamb!” —

Revelation 7:9-10 (NLT)

God is actively working in Africa, Latin America and Asia, and this key Leadership role offers the opportunity to be an instrumental part of that movement. In this context, EvanTell is seeking an experienced development executive with a passion for evangelism to help steward its next phase of growth and gospel influence.
