The Center for Christian Virtue (CCV) is an $8.5M organization that equips and mobilizes Christians to engage in public policy, fighting for faith, family, and freedom. Working to save America from the states up, this Columbus, Ohio–based Christian public-policy organization advances its mission in statehouses across the nation.
The Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) is a pivotal executive role designed to integrate and elevate our outward-facing operations. By uniting our messaging and our relationship-building efforts under one strategic vision, the CSO will drive organizational growth, increase our public influence, and ensure we have the resources necessary to advance our mission.

ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION
Founded in 1983, the Center for Christian Virtue (CCV), formerly known as Citizens for Community Values, has become a leading voice in Ohio and nationally, advocating for families, protecting religious freedom, and equipping grassroots activists to make a meaningful difference in their communities.
The First Amendment protects the freedom of people to live out their beliefs in their daily lives. For Christians, this freedom is particularly important because our faith calls us to action—to love and serve our neighbors and faithfully live according to God’s Word. Yet across the country, laws and policies can restrict religious freedom or place people of faith in difficult positions because of their beliefs. For this reason, protecting religious freedom is a top priority for CCV.
CCV works to advance policies that protect the rights and freedoms of people of faith, including:
Ensuring the government does not punish people for faithfully living out their beliefs in ministry, the workplace, or the marketplace.
Protecting the conscience rights of professionals so they are not compelled to act against their sincerely held beliefs.
Safeguarding free speech and ensuring the government does not unnecessarily restrict the ability of individuals and organizations to express their beliefs.
Protecting the church’s ability to remain open and freely carry out its mission without undue government interference.
Through advocacy, education, and grassroots engagement, CCV works every day to protect religious liberty and ensure that individuals, families, churches, and communities have the freedom to live out their convictions.

HOW THEY ACCOMPLISH THEIR MISSION
CCV advances its mission by putting biblical principles into action through advocacy, education, engagement, and community partnership. Key efforts include:
Advocating at the Ohio Statehouse for public policies that align with biblical values.
Educating Christians on meaningful engagement with culture and government.
Connecting pastors with lawmakers to ensure the church has a voice in important decisions.
Supporting Christian education by planting and strengthening schools.
Administering the CEN SGO scholarship program to give families greater educational choice.
Standing alongside employers who wish to operate businesses reflecting their convictions.
Utilizing media to advocate for a culture shaped by biblical principles.

OPPORTUNITIES & CHALLENGES
CCV is entering an exciting season of renewed energy, clarity, and growth. The organization has a strong biblical foundation, a proven record of public policy victories, a passionate team, and a growing platform. The opportunity now is to build on that foundation and significantly expand CCV’s reach, influence, engagement, and impact.
The challenges facing CCV are not signs of a lack of momentum; rather, they represent the opportunities created by growth. The new Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) will help CCV transition into an increasingly proactive, scalable, and influential organization.
The CSO will:
Create greater organizational alignment and translate the President’s vision into actionable strategies.
Provide forward-looking leadership to the Strategic Partnerships (Advancement) and Communications departments, maximizing their cross-functional collaboration.
Establish a proactive communications approach, including a comprehensive calendar, strategic advertising, rapid responses to cultural moments, and intentional growth of online subscribers.
Work with the Strategic Partnerships Director to develop creative strategies that deepen engagement with current supporters, cultivate new relationships, and build a broader community actively engaged with CCV’s mission.
CCV needs a leader who consistently looks ahead, asking: What is coming? What opportunity is emerging? What should we be preparing for? Who needs to know? Who should we engage? What could we do differently? And how can we maximize effort and impact? It will also be important that the CSO has a good understanding of AI and how this technology can be leveraged for growth and strategy.
The CSO will bring this forward-looking mindset to the executive team, creating sustainable and scalable systems that allow CCV to respond quickly while planning for the future. This new role offers the opportunity to shape both the organization's strategy and the next chapter of its growth and influence.
