Star of Hope is a Christ-centered community dedicated to meeting the needs of homeless men, women, and their children. Positive life changes are encouraged through structured programs focusing on spiritual growth, education, employment, life management, and recovery from substance abuse. Located in Houston, TX, Star of Hope boasts an incredible legacy, with this year marking 115 years of service to the homeless community of Houston. With a $30 million annual budget and 220 employees, SOH faithfully serves the homeless community with grace and compassion.

 

The Need

Star of Hope is looking for a strong and experienced executive to lead their major gifts program and development team members into the future. The Vice President of Donor Relations, reporting directly to CEO Hank Rush, will lead and execute the upcoming $65 million Capital Campaign for Phase II of the 48-acre Cornerstone Community campus, a key component of VISION 2030 to better serve homeless women and families. They will work to develop major gifts, endowment, and planned giving programs. The VP of Donor Relations will demonstrate commitment to the vision of Star of Hope, working to increase community support to accomplish the Vision 2030 Goals in the coming years. This role will require the candidate to live in Houston, TX.
