Family Legacy Missions International (Family Legacy) is a $19 million Christian nonprofit organization with more than 740 staff, including 700 in Zambia and 39 in the U.S., with offices in Dallas, Texas, and Lusaka, Zambia. Family Legacy exists to glorify God by empowering vulnerable children in Zambia to live out their God-given potential.
Through its four core programs — Legacy Academy (educating over 10,000 students), Excel Beyond (helping students complete trades or university study), Tree of Life Children’s Village (full-time care for 400 children on a 130-acre campus), and Camp Life (a cornerstone summer experience engaging thousands of children and hundreds of U.S. ambassadors) — Family Legacy provides holistic care: spiritual, intellectual, physical, and emotional.
Coming alongside this impactful movement, Family Legacy seeks a Vice President of Development to strengthen and expand the organization’s funding base. As a senior leader, this person will build and steward donor relationships, drive major gift and planned giving strategies, and play a vital role in extending Family Legacy’s mission to transform Zambia’s most vulnerable children.

ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION
Founded in 2001, Family Legacy Missions International (Family Legacy) exists to glorify God by empowering vulnerable children in Zambia to live out their God-given potential. What began as a small Vacation Bible School led by eight U.S. volunteers has grown into a holistic ministry reaching more than 10,000 students annually through private Christian schools, residential care, and spiritual discipleship.
Family Legacy’s work is anchored in four core programs:
Legacy Academies – providing Christ-centered education for over 10,000 primary and secondary students across Lusaka.
Tree of Life Children’s Village – a 130-acre residential community offering full-time care for 400 of Zambia’s most vulnerable children.
Excel Beyond – equipping students to pursue university education or vocational training to thrive as future leaders.
Camp Life – a cornerstone summer experience uniting thousands of children and hundreds of American ambassadors for gospel-centered transformation.
While the ministry is deeply committed to serving children, it is also passionate about connecting U.S. families with the mission through sponsorship, service trips, and discipleship opportunities. Family Legacy is best known by donors for its Legacy Academies, Tree of Life Village, and Camp Life, and by those it serves as a place of hope, care, and spiritual growth.
Family Legacy is building momentum under new leadership. Its vision is clear: to see Zambia’s most vulnerable children transformed and empowered to become the next generation of godly leaders in their homes, communities, and nation.
