Amazi Water is an NGO based in Bujumbura, Burundi that partners with the church, the government, and other Burundi-based NGOs and faith-based organizations to provide long-term clean water solutions. As the primary, in-country partner for clean water projects—and together with key stakeholders—they are developing a national water strategy with the goal of providing sustainable access to clean water for every Burundian community by the end of 2028, all in Jesus' name.
They are seeking an Operations Director on-the-ground in Burundi to lead the day-to-day operations there, overseeing the teams that work to bring clean drinking water to all Burundians. S/he will also help develop the organization's water coverage strategy through effective oversight of water projects nationwide. The ideal candidate needs to have experience living and working in Africa and have a background in construction management, logistics, water management or engineering. The ability to speak French and/or Swahili (in addition to English) is also a plus.
