OVERVIEW

4africa is a $2.6 million nonprofit ministry launched in 2007 that is committed to dramatically improving conditions in unstable areas of East Africa, specifically Uganda and South Sudan. Its mission is to exalt Jesus Christ by restoring and empowering African people to become good stewards of their community and country- imparting biblical principles through sustainable clean water and preventative health initiatives while educating future leaders, all with a heart for service.

Their water and preventative health care programs address the often fatal suffering that results from a lack of access to basic needs, and their leadership development program is the cornerstone of change, setting up leaders to meet and solve future needs.

Their new Major Gifts Officer (MGO) will have the primary responsibility for raising a significant amount of 4africa’s budget through managing an integrated fundraising strategy. This will be accomplished by (1) cultivating current and new relationships with major donors, churches, foundations and corporations, (2) developing and executing an integrated strategy for raising funds for 4africa’s annual budget, and (3) engaging internal and external partners to assist in raising funds. The MGO will also ensure that all fundraising activities are ethical, legal, biblical and consistent with 4africa’s values, beliefs and policies.
